Being a foster parent can be a wonderful and challenging adventure. Family Ties provides intensive training that will prepare you to help you change lives everyday.

We provide 36 hours of training on a variety of topics such as an Orientation and Overview of being a foster parent; Effects of Abuse and Neglect on a Child; Behavior Management; Health Measures; Education Advocacy/Independent Living; De-Escalation and Physical Intervention; Cultural Issues in Placement; and the Legal Framework for Foster Care. We also provide CPR and First Aid certification.

As a foster parent, you are eligible to receive a $100 referral bonus for each family that you refer and complete the orientation/pre-service training, another $250 bonus when that family becomes licensed and yet another $50 bonus when that family receives their first placement.
